Graceful multimedia keyboard for trackball artists

Ahrensburg, August 2010:
Nowadays, the modern PC user has special demands on a perfect home keyboard. Design-oriented, wireless, small and portable, inexpensive and suitable for multimedia usage - these are the currently popular features. KeySonicTM has merged all these wishes now in one keyboard: KSK-3201 RF.
With a size of only 267 x 128 mm and 21 mm height, the very flat keyboard fits in every pocket. It is therefore ideal for mobile applications. A visual highlight is the modern surface texture in aluminium look. Because of extremely flat, but fairly large buttons and high-quality X-Type membrane technology excellent typing is guaranteed. As all wireless KeySonic keyboards, KSK-3201 RF allows a reliable, location-independent radio operation. Computers with a distance up to 7 m can be operated on a frequency of 2.4 GHz, for example conveniently from a couch. Through a discreet built-in Laser trackball with 8 mm diameter and two mouse buttons there is no need to connect an external mouse. It is easy to control and navigate using only the keyboard. These two extras were positioned in the top left and right corners for comfortable handling.
Due to an integrated numeric keypad and second assignment of function keys, KSK-3201 RF has no restrictions comparing to full-sized standard keyboards. Fn key along with Multimedia keys can operate the Media player, change the volume level and switch the PC into standby mode. Even the Internet browser and mail program are easily accessible via button press. These comprehensive special features predestine the keyboard especially for the control of modern Home Entertainment facilities, but also for training, conference & presentation rooms.
KSK-3201 RF is delivered in an attractive retail packaging in typical red KeySonicTM design. It is marketed exclusively by MaxPoint Handelsgesellschaft mbH and is available in specialised shops for a recommended retail price of 39 € (incl. VAT) starting from now. After the initial presentation at the CeBIT 2010 numerous project contracts have already completed; even a well-known German high-end car manufacturer has expressed interest. We hope for an equally large response from end customers.

With Heat Pipes Tagan needs no summer break!

Ahrensburg, July 2010:
After a long and intensive development finally the time has come: PipeRockIII is the name of the new, modular Tagan power supply series, which will be available from mid-August in specialised stores. The first units with an output of 700 Watt have already arrived in the warehouse. Later, the series will be completed probably with 800, 900 and 1000 Watt models.
The brand new power supplies that meet 80Plus® Silver requirements are equipped with a new heat pipe technology, which improves the cooling system enormously. The heat pipes lead away the heat from the voltage converters and forward them directly to the cooling fins, which are placed in the air flow. Thereby, the large 12 cm fan will be relieved greatly and can rotate correspondingly slowly which causes little noise, even under hot summer temperatures. In addition, the buyers enjoy a very long life time of the less stressed components.
Four independent +12 V rails provide individual power to the connected devices and therewith stabilise the system. The power supplies operate with an efficiency of more than 85% extremely economically. Heat losses are minimized and far less power is needed - that saves money and conserves the environment. All models of the PipeRockIII series meet already the new EuP requirements and work in stand-by mode ecologically as well.
A total of 15 ports for peripherals are available. The necessary PCI-Express connectors are supporting current graphics cards as well as CrossFire and SLI configurations. Practical ribbon cables with modular, fool-proof plugs make a clean cable installation a breeze. They also maintain order and optimise the airflow inside for a better cooling of all elements.
Of course, there are integrated protection circuits against over voltages, short circuits and high currents in order to protect the valuable components.
The PipeRockIII power supplies are delivered in an attractive retail packaging. They are marketed exclusively by MaxPoint Handelsgesellschaft mbH. The TG700-BZIII is offered for the recommended retail price of 129 €.

Wireless all-round keyboard for multimedia applications

Ahrensburg, May 2010:
For years the brand KeySonicTM has been standing for out of the ordinary input devices – keyboards and mice with a twist. Our new keyboard the KSK-5200 RFM is no exception; outwardly it attracts attention by shapely curves while inside it is packed with many useful extras.

Its dimensions of 388x42x185mm along with normal key size allow it to retain old writing habits. Despite the space-saving design it does not lose the full functionality of a full-sized keyboard. As with all the KeySonic wireless keyboards the KSK-5200 RFM offers a location-independent radio operation without cumbersome cable connections. A distance up to about 10m to the PC is possible with reliable 2.4 GHz radio transmission.

For mobile use a large optical trackball is built-in as a mouse replacement on the right. It has a diameter of 19mm and works with fast and precise scanning of 800 dpi. The trackball is complemented by two mouse buttons with a scroll wheel on the left hand side of the keyboard. Two additional mouse buttons have been placed on the bottom left and right edges of keyboard for a smooth files and internet browsing experience.

On the lowest key row, a rather unusual key is located: the MCE button. It opens the Windows Media Center (if installed), which is integrated by default starting from Windows7.

Above the function keys 12 multimedia keys and a red LED low battery indicator are located. The five left buttons act as Internet hotkeys and open your e-mail client, internet browser and my computer as well as the previous and next pages. As second assignment they simplify the operation of the Media Center (if installed) as MCE hotkeys while when pressed together with the Fn key it will open the default applications for Internet TV, music, photos, videos and the TV player. The other 7 buttons are multimedia hotkeys for regulating the volume, start and stop the media tracks and select the previous or next track.

With the many special features, the KSK-5200 RFM is optimal for controlling modern home entertainment systems, for mobile applications, as well as for training, conference & presentation rooms. As already known from all the previous KeySonic devices, the key stroke is silent due to high quality Soft-Touch membrane technology and with a pleasant pressure point.

KeySonic KSK-5200 RFM is delivered in an attractive retail packaging in red KeySonic design. It is marketed exclusively by MaxPoint Handelsgesellschaft mbH and is available in specialised shops for a recommended retail price of 49 € (incl. VAT) starting now.

Case newcomers in giant and dwarf format

Ahrensburg, May 2010:
Aplus extends its product range by two new PC cases, as different they cannot be. While the CS-802B - a gamer and server case - offers maximum space for many extensions through its enormous depth of 584 mm, the mini ITX case CS-160 scores with a small size (only 220 x 68 x 245 mm) and variable expansion options. Both cases are made of solid, black coated steel, which is sometimes supplemented by plastic parts in the front. Multiple ventilation openings provide a good air circulation.

Outwardly, the first eye-catcher of CS-802B is the attractive, lockable front panel with blue illumination in a sinuous mix of matt black plastic and mesh. Behind this door eSATA, 2 x USB, audio, microphone and Firewire ports are hiding, and bays for maximal 9 x 5.25" or 6 x 5.25" + 4 x 3.5" drives or HDDs. All bays can be mounted screwless with a clip system and enable a variety of configuration options. The hard drives are stored in a removable cage with anti-vibration protection, more cages are optionally available.

In the generous interior has enough space for an optimal cooling system. A 12 cm fan is already integrated on the back side. Inside the case is room for 7 x 120-140 mm fans or optional water cooling. Four holes were provided rear for its cooling hoses. A power supply can be mounted on the bottom of the case, with the fan upwards or downwards; a soft frame is included for sound decoupling. Rear are 7 slots for PCI cards that can be assembled without screws as well.

The smart mini-ITX case CS-160 can be positioned upright or lying flat with its clever feet. In the front panel with A+ logo a silvery ON/OFF switch, a HDD activity indicator, a slim ODD bay, microphone, speaker and two USB ports are located. The large interior includes a 5 cm rear fan and a variety of connection cables; it provides space for a 2.5" HDD. The content of delivery also encloses a 72 W power supply.

Both cases are marketed exclusively by MaxPoint Handelsgesellschaft mbH. CS-802B is available in specialised shops for a recommended retail price of 89 € (incl. VAT) starting from now, CS-160 costs 49 €.
